e2save is a leading online mobile phone and technology retailer. It is a trading division of Carphone Warehouse Ltd which is part of the Best Buy Europe Group.
challenge
The e2save welcome pack is one of the core pieces of communication that the company produces; an essential tool for welcoming new customers and reinforcing the company's brand values. But the inefficient pack was driving additional calls to the e2save call centre and so costing the company more money.
approach
The previous version of the Welcome Pack was quite cumbersome and full of small print but didn't answer many of the common queries that customers had. We recommended creating a short and snappy document including essential information for customers who had purchased a new mobile phone or gadget. With our thorough understanding of the company's personality and preferred tone of voice - developed through the Brand Vitals© process – we were able to create copy that reflects a brand which is friendly, helpful, approachable and knowledgeable.
results
The new e2save welcome pack is easy to read and packed full of information. We avoided jargon wherever possible, answering questions in a way that is straightforward and professional, without being patronising. e2save now has a Welcome Pack that helps to build its brand and reduces unnecessary calls to its contact centre.
